For Small Businesses & Anyone Buried in Manual Work
A faster, more reliable alternative to offshoring your manual data work — with an exit built in.
If you're still doing the manual, repetitive work yourself because it's easier than explaining it to someone else, or you're paying someone more than it should cost for work that feels simple but never seems to shrink — whether that's reconciling, reporting, or just pulling data from five different places into one — I can take it on directly. Quickly, accurately, and typically for less than you're spending now, whether that's time, money, or both. As it stabilises, it's your call: keep me managing it, or I automate it and hand you the keys.
What This Covers
- Reconciliations — bank, credit card, or platform reconciliations done accurately and on schedule.
- Data entry & cleanup — getting messy spreadsheets, exports, and source data into a usable, consistent state.
- Bringing scattered data together — pulling numbers or records from several systems, tools, or logins into one consolidated view, without you manually copying and pasting between them.
- Recurring reporting — pulling together reports from multiple sources, for finance, ops, marketing, or sales, without the manual copy-paste.
- Pulling data from wherever it's stuck — emails, PDFs, websites, or systems with no clean export option.
- Building documents from data — invoices, statements, or other recurring paperwork generated automatically from your source data.
- Connecting systems that don't talk to each other — moving data from one platform to another so it doesn't need to be re-entered by hand.
- Automating the fiddly, click-by-click stuff — including tasks in tools with no API, where the only option is automating the clicks themselves.
- If it's manual, repetitive, and involves data in any form, it's very likely in scope. This list isn't exhaustive — if you're not sure, just ask.
Why Me
I'm a Melbourne based Data Engineer — 20+ years working with data inside large corporates, including scaling platforms across systems spanning every business function. This isn't outsourced busywork done by a rotating offshore team. It's the same rigour and technical background I bring to building full-scale enterprise data infrastructure for larger clients, just applied to a smaller, more immediate problem.
Why This, Instead of Offshoring
Offshore admin teams are usually priced by the hour and staffed by generalists. My background lets me get through tasks that take a manual team hours in a fraction of the time, which means I can typically charge less than you're paying now — without cutting corners on accuracy. You also get one accountable person, not a rotating team. Where a task follows a stable, recurring pattern, I can often also tap into the relevant APIs to automate the extraction and loading steps directly — reducing the manual work even further.
How This Evolves
I start by doing the task the same way an offshore team would — manually, accurately, on schedule. Nothing about your process needs to change to get going.
But if the task follows a stable, recurring pattern, I can usually automate most of it directly — often with AI tools doing the heavier lifting. I won't pretend everything can be fully hands-off, though: even a well-built automation still needs someone keeping an eye on it, unless it's a full-scale application. So once that automation is in place, it's your call — keep me on as the person who monitors and refines it, or I hand you the keys and walk your team through running it yourselves.
Either way, you're not locked in, and it's a low-risk way to start putting automation and AI to work in your business without betting the farm on it.
How It Works
- Tell me the task. A quick description of what you need done and how often — no formal scoping required to start. Give me a sense of how much time you're losing to it, or if you're already paying someone else to do it, roughly what that costs. Either helps me gauge how much of a win this could actually be for you before we start.
- I quote it. Flat, per-task or per-batch pricing so you know the cost upfront — not billed by the hour.
- You send it through, I deliver. One-off or set up as a recurring monthly arrangement, whichever suits.
Not sure yet whether it's worth handing over? Submit an example task and I'll walk you through how I'd approach automating it — no commitment either way.
